Installed Systems vs. Shipped Products

Shipped Products (No Installation)
Security cameras and equipment purchased from HDSS and not installed are eligible for return within 30 days, provided they meet all return conditions, including unused status and original packaging.

Professionally Installed Systems
All security cameras, access control devices, and related equipment that have been professionally installed by HDSS are final sale and non-returnable once installation has occurred.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Cameras mounted to walls, soffits, poles, or structures

• Equipment that has been powered on, configured, or networked

• Cabling that has been run or concealed

• Systems integrated into an existing network or recorder
   

If an installed product is found to be defective, it will be handled under the HDSS Warranty Policy, not the return policy.

How Returns Work With the HDSS Warranty

HDSS provides a 1-Year Parts and Labor Warranty on professionally installed systems.

• If a product fails due to a manufacturer defect within the warranty period, HDSS will repair or replace the item at no cost.

• Products with extended manufacturer warranties beyond one year are covered for parts only, and labor may be billed after the first year.

• Issues related to network changes, user error, power loss, surge damage, or third-party equipment are considered service calls and are not warranty-related.
   

Warranty service does not qualify as a product return or refund.
